Indoor Athletics

A team from Year 5 & 6 eagerly contested in the Indoor Athletics competition this week against team from the other Federation schools.  The athletes competed in a range of exciting challenges: chest push, speed bounce, standing long jumps, agility tests and hurdles. Well done to everyone who took part.

Eco Council Action

The Eco Council wrote to Cool Milk recently as we were receiving our milk in small cartons with plastic straws which couldn’t be recycled.  To cut down on our landfill rubbish, we are now receiving the milk in 2 litre bottles which can be recycled.  The children also have cool new plastic cups to drink […]

Harvest Festival

We held our Harvest Festival performance last Friday.  Class 1 entertained us by going through a harvest alphabet, giving us a fruit or vegetable for nearly every letter.

New Sports Equipment

We have received some great new sporting equipment including footballs, pop up goals, bibs and cones.  The children are loving using it in PE and after school clubs.

Book Donation

Thank you to our local bookshop. They have kindly donated several copies of Matilda’s how to be brave by Roald Dahl to our school, to help celebrate the joy of reading for pleasure

New Faces

We have been joined by 16 new children in Foundation Stage.  It is lovely to see their young faces every morning eager to come into class.

Primary Colours Exhibition

Every year our children enter an art piece into the Primary Colours Exhibition held at Harbour House in Kingsbridge.  The children really enjoy seeing their own creations on the wall and those from other local schools.

New Use for Old Book Covers

Our children are starting to refurbish the items that we brought with us from the old school.  This one has been brilliantly covered with copies of book covers.  Doesn’t it look amazing!

Christmas Tree Collection Service

Max and Tommy M, along with their Dad Chris, spent some time in the holidays going around the village and collecting used trees.  People gave a donation for this brilliant service and they raised a whopping £62.  Thank you very much!
