A great win for the Netball team

One of the teams taking part in the Netball Competition this week came first, beating other local schools to the top spot.  They will progress through to the next round in a few weeks.  Well done!

30 Second Sports Council Challenge

To raise the profile of sport and physical activity even higher at our school, the  Sports Council (Ava & Alfie E in year 3, William, Millie R & Lilia in year 4, Ben M and Katie in year 5 and Imogen C & Alfie P in year 6) will be running a weekly challenge. Every Thursday break time they will organise a ’30 Second Sports Council Challenge’ where KS2 children can participate and compete in a variety of exercises set by the Sports Council.  The winning girl and boy from each year group (3 – 6) will receive a certificate in Celebration Assembly on Fridays and have their name announced in the newsletter.

Kind donation to the school

high-vis-1Mr Roberts from Salcombe Sailing has very
kindly donated some brand new high-vis vests
for the teachers and pupils to wear when they
are out on trips. Now, they will be even safer
and easier to see. Thank you very much.

Our last week of term has been a whirl of rehearsals, performances, cake decorating, carol singing, card making and many other Chrismassy activities.
