Free Information Book explaining the Coronavirus to Children

Axel Scheffler has illustrated a digital book for primary school age children, free for anyone to read on screen (click link above) or print out, about the coronavirus and the measures taken to control it. Published by Nosy Crow, and written by staff within the company, the book has had expert input: Professor Graham Medley of the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine acted as a consultant, and the company also had advice from two head teachers and a child psychologist.

Please see below details of a scam regarding Free School Meals.

We have been alerted by the DFE that some parents have received an email stating:

‘As schools will be closing, if you’re entitled to free school meals, please send your bank details and we’ll make sure you’re supported’.

This is a scam email – do not respond, and delete immediately.

If you think you might have been a victim of cyber-crime, please visit Action Fraud or contact them on 0300 123 2040.

For further support, Citizen’s Advice provide advice and support on online fraud. You can call their dedicated helpline or talk to someone online.
