Latest Pre-School News
COVID19
Although we will be welcoming our children back, the reality is that normal pre-school life is still a way off right now. The structure of the pre-school day, and indeed teaching methods, will not be “normal” due to social distancing measures.
As you may expect Preschool will be following government guidance in order to keep all children and staff as safe as possible. This will mean a different structure to our normal preschool day with limited numbers of children plus a reduced number of toys and activities available. Parents will not be able to enter the building and we also ask that only one parent accompanies their child to drop off/ pick up.
Handwashing will be central to the pre-school day as it was in the period before lockdown.
All children will need to ensure that they wear a clean set of clothes each day. At the end of the school day, all clothes worn by children and staff will need to be removed and washed when they get home to prevent possible carrying of infection into the home.
We have created an isolation area should anyone be taken ill during the course of the day and will follow the current guidance on distancing and cleaning this area after use.
Please rest assured the health and safety of the children and staff is paramount. We have worked hard to put systems and processes in place to ensure our school is as safe and engaging for the children as possible under the current guidance and legislation. We have also revised our Behaviour Policy but if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
