About Us

Loddiswell Pre-school began in 1976 as a small village playgroup and has become an integral part of the community.

From September 2018, Loddiswell Pre-School came under the umbrella of the South Hams Federation. As such, it is a governor led pre-school setting.

We are based in the Pavilion Building at Loddiswell Playing Fields and there is free parking available, adjacent to the building. We have a fantastic site with spacious indoor rooms, outdoor play area, vegetable and wildlife gardens and access to the playing fields and open countryside beyond.

We welcome children from Loddiswell, the surrounding areas and beyond from 2 years up to 5 years old.

Our Times

Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays

Morning Session 9.00 – 12.00

Lunch Club 12.00 – 1.00

Afternoon Session 1.00pm – 3.30pm

Children can attend any arrangement of sessions, depending on availability, to suit their personal needs. Parents are more than welcome to accompany their children as required to help them to settle in.

How much does it cost?

We aim to provide a high quality of service whilst keeping costs competitive.

From the term after their 3rd birthday, all children become eligible for government funding for up to 15 hours per week and, dependent upon meeting certain criteria, may be eligible for an additional 15 hours so 30 hours in total. These hours are completely flexible. We also offer 2 year old funding for those children that meet the criteria.

If Funding is not available for your child, our fees are currently £4.30 per hour so the cost per session is as below:

Please note: that once your child is booked in, all sessions will be charged for during the term including if your child is on holiday.
